Storyboard Post

Image
I created this storyboard by writing out a bit of the script and then translating it to a storyboard. I then also used procreate to draw a bit of my story to also be more visible. This story board is able to flow since I simply list in order the events that will take place in the short film and how/why they happen. (along with camera angles, sound, etc.)

Moodboard

For my mood board, I already had my main scenes decided, so I used this to plan out exactly how I wanted everything to feel. For the first scene, we are seeing the threat for the first time. The scene has blues to make the audience feel calm, before the danger is seen. the next scene is greys and monochrome to keep the tensions that the audience feels, before the nostalgia of the house is shown to hopefully give a uncanny valley/uneasy feel to the house (where our main character will be.) Not only do I decide the colors, but also the music, sound, and even camera shots and some general notes.

Target Audience

I picked these questions, since I had a general idea of what I wanted to do for my short film, but not exactly how I want to execute it. So, I came up with these questions to decide how exactly I want to scare my audience. I got my responses by asking my friends, and luckily my friends have platforms with lots of followers, so I asked them to make a small post and got responses. The information from this survey definitely helped, since I know now to show the hat man instead of hide him the entire time.
